Description
No need to overdo it when the material already speaks. Giyar is an Indian chillum in natural clay, handmade in Varanasi and deliberately keeping a simple, earthy, traditional look. Its notched pattern gives rhythm to the shape without hiding the texture of the clay. Each piece may show slight variations in shade, grain or finish that come with handcrafting. Two Giyars may look alike without ever being completely identical. At 6 inches, about 15 cm, it has a more generous silhouette than the compact models and sits squarely in the aesthetic of the traditional chillums Shiva Blends selects in Varanasi.

Handmade in Varanasi
Varanasi has been shaping chillums for far longer than we have been selling them. The pieces come out of family workshops, thrown and carved by hand, fired in batches — a craft passed on in the workshop, not in a specification sheet.
We are not the workshop: we select these pieces, we use them ourselves, and we keep only the ones that hold up.
